Darwin, NT – [06.09.2023]

Cocoon SDA Care is delighted to announce the appointment of Vim as our NT Relationship Manager. With over 15 years of political experience and a passion for helping others, Vim will be a valuable asset to our team and our participants.

Vim has served as an advisor to three Chief Ministers, mainly in the portfolios of Business and Multicultural Affairs. He is also a current Councillor to the City of Darwin and former Deputy Lord Mayor. He was instrumental in welcoming Cocoon to the Northern Territory at the ground-breaking ceremony held at the Darwin Convention Centre.

Born and raised in Darwin, Vim has established networks through his government career, sporting life and support of many associations. He attends many community events and likes to be on the ground meeting and conversing with people face to face.

“In my nearly 50 years on this Earth, I have come to realise that my self-worth comes from helping others.  I have learned that happiness comes from expressing gratitude and helping others at every opportunity.  I am beyond excited and extremely privileged to join the Cocoon family and feel I have found the right fit and shared values with Cocoon,” Vim said.

“I met Cocoon, assisting them through my government role with their Territory expansion. What I took away from my initial meetings, is the passion that they had for improving people’s lives and their mantra of their participants thriving, not just existing. I am elated to be part of this team.”

Vim is a valuable addition to the Cocoon team, as he brings his extensive experience and his passion for helping others to the role of NT Relationship Manager. Vim will also be involved in promoting Cocoon’s vision and mission of creating a world without barriers where everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive. Vim’s knowledge of the local context, his networks, and his enthusiasm will help Cocoon expand its reach and impact in the NT.
