Family First
After a busy month of overseas travel & Marathon Majors, it was lovely to return home, have a well deserved period of rest, and spend some quality with the family.
I love to travel, however my favourite place to be is at home. I love the familiarity and routine of family life, pottering around the house, checking things off my to-do list. It also feels great to get the balance back into my days. I believe balance plays a critical part in the overall success of the various roles we play from day to day. If one part of our lives isn’t going to plan, balance allows us to focus on the things that
are going well, and can provide a clearer perspective of the negative situation, and help to right the issue by providing clarity & context.
Top End Expo
During the month of May the Cocoon SDA Care team were out and about mingling with visitors at the All Abilities Expo in Darwin. Keen to take NDIS participants, families and local businesses on a tour of their latest Darwin SDA home, and show them the amazing options available. Great work team
Participant Highlight
This month I would like to give a shout out to NDIS participant Bronwyn. Bronwyn has always had a passion for cooking, and recently showed off her talents by cooking up a storm in Adelaide with the assistance of her Cocoon SDA support workers.
This is philosophy in practice. It is what the Cocoon team do every day. They are dedicated to providing safe, nurturing and inclusive spaces where individuals can develop their skill and
thrive. Congratulations Bronwyn, and keep up the great work. It looks delicious!
